I Believe...

I’d like you to take the time and finish this sentence:

I believe…

I would really like to see what it is that people believe in. What drives them to keep trying and not give up even though all signs point to failure? This is the basis of all our “American” movies. This is the hope that we live on. This is the testament that there is more to humanity than greed, sloth, envy, and war.

I believe…

It’s amazing how I’ve just written and you’ve just read two words that invoke such thought, question and understanding of “self” in a world so quick to regurgitate the past instead of reshape the future.

I’ve even notices how children seem to spark the light inside of use that projects the very essence of belief. Where does this come from? And after so long of searching for a meaning, where does it eventually go?

I know that believing is only 50% of causing change, success or failure. I was told that 10% is taken from any action during the transition to a reaction. So, if you put in 70% and 10% is taken off because of the transition you’re left with 60%. That doesn’t leave a lot of room for a strong reaction, does it? But if you put in 110% and 10% is taken off from the transition, you’re left with 100%. That is a lot of room to cause a positive reaction.

So, the question is: What do you believe?

My answer to this question:

I believe… Period.

I believe that my husband is cheating on me. I don't know why I feel this way although we have not made love in almost 2 weeks. I should trust him and believe that he loves me enough not cheat but i can't help but believe he is. why must this be so difficult to just believe (in him).

I believe that I'm going to fail my exams. I have not studied. Me and my boyfriend have been having problems. Hey, you should do a post of how to get through an arguement and not break up or kill each other. Nice site!

That's a tough thing to go through. I went through the same thing with my husband. Something in me was just telling me that he was cheating. After 10 years and a child I felt like it would be too difficult to divorce him. I went out and had an affair. Turns out, he was not having an affair. His friend from Boston had came into town to help him throw this anniversary party for us. I was so devistated. We broke up because of that. Talk to your man and see what's going on instead of assuming.

That was some great advice. It takes a strong individual to stand up be honest. Honesty is the best policy.

I believe in magic and spells. I think people who stop believing in magic are zombies. Who didn't like Wizard of Oz and E.T. and Hocus Pocus and Artifical Intelligence and all sorts of movies that challenge us to believe in the unbelievable. Great posts, man!

Get a life, Magik. Please get a life!

I think Magik has a life. He is a believer in something. Tell me, anonymous, do you believe in anything. Because it sure the hell seems like you believe in bringing people down who stand up for something positive.

How would cinema or the American culture have been without movies like The Wizard of Oz, and Star Wars. Even E.T.! My motto is:

"If you stand for nothing, you fall for everything."

For real. So why can't you stand up and be honest about taking credit for something you didn't write. Like that article about acne? You know. The one you probably got here or maybe you got the information from here. If you are really a writer, I doubt that you'd want someone to take credit for something you wrote. Flattery or not. It's like taking a part of your soul. You're old enough to know better than to take credit for something you didn't write.

Honesty is the best policy, right? Oh, except for where you're concerned. Is that the case?
